Come & follow the hundreds of people each year who apply to lower their energy bills
The government via the big 6 energy companies have energy saving targets it needs to hit. These targets include reducing the UK’s carbon footprint and also cutting fuel poverty.
One of the ways they’re doing this is through the ECO or Energy Company Obligation scheme. It’s called that because the big energy companies have targets to hit too. The scheme is a collaboration between the government and the six biggest energy companies in the UK.
Everyone in the UK pays a small percentage extra on their energy bills, and this money is used to fund free boilers and insulation for low-income households and the most vulnerable members of our community.

According to the Energy Saving Trust – an UK wide independent body – a household that upgrades their old G-rated boiler to a modern A-rated boiler will knock up to £305 a year off their fuel bills, that’s over £3,000 over 10 years wow!
That’s the figure for a detached house. In a semi-detached or end-of-terrace home you can save up to £200 each year, in a mid-terrace you can save up to £175 and in a flat up to £95.
On top of that, you can save up to £455 off your fuel bills by insulating your home. Find out whether you qualify for additional insulation when you have your free home survey.
If your boiler is more than five years old, and is inefficient or faulty, then it’s worth looking at replacing it. For boilers newer than 5-years-old then it’s usually more cost effective to repair the boiler. You won’t be able to get a free replacement boiler if your boiler is less than 5-years-old.
Older boilers are often only around 65% efficient. So for every £1 you spend on heating your home, only 65p is heating your home. The other 35p is wasted.
A new A-rated boiler will be 90% efficient so 90p in every £1 you spend is heating your home. This is why a new boiler can save you money on your heating bills.
